Sunday was quiet an eventful day for the Rooms by ZoyaB girl’s. It marked the first day at the 2014 Toy Fair held at NY’s Javit’s Center where thousands of booths were lined up showcasing company’s newest and fun toys for this upcoming year.
The day brought out the kid in all of us. It was great getting to walk around and get to see everything from dolls, puzzles, bikes, and trucks to the little things like booths giving out free glitter tattoos. One of the items that caught my eye was the new high tech toys, one in particular from WowWee. Available for preorder this spring is their newest toy, Mip. He’s a balancing robot that you control not only with your hands, but with a special app that allows Mip to do so much more. Mip also comes with fun games and has a special Bluetooth feature that allows him to dance to your favorite songs.
Toys weren’t the only thing that caught our eyes. Some of the booths had some great display features like LEGO’s booth with their tall Lego characters, Hansa with their life like animal toys with some being interactive and singing, and even Madame Alexander’s booth had something special. There was a man at a sewing station creating hats for passer buyers to not only enjoy watching but were also free to take.
But the one item all of us could not seem to get over was a simple item everyone loves, balloon animals. These animals from Burton + Burton were everywhere we turned and the mystery of the day was where we could possibly get our very own. These animal balloons came many varieties, from zebras, dogs, dinosaurs, and pandas, people were walking around all over the even with them. Sadly, after we made our rounds looking at all the booths we made our way back to the beginning learning that we could get our animal there, the unfortunately were no longer handing out anymore for the day. But, while we left empty handed that late afternoon without an animal of our own, it was still an excitingly fun day we all got to experience.
